Dynamic Avionics Integration Rig

Hydraulic Electrical and Engine Monitoring System Rig

Avionics Integration Rig

Test Rigs for Avionics Systems
We’ve successfully completed many projects for the Defence Industry. And almost all of them have been for fighter aircraft programs. Some of them include the

1. Dynamic Avionics Integration Rig for the Light Combat Aircraft (LCA),
2. Multi-mode Radar Integration Rig also for the LCA,
3. Hydraulic Electrical and Engine Monitoring System Rig for the LCA,
4. Software Integration Rig for Jaguar and
5. Avionics Integration Rig for the MIG 27.

All of these Rigs are ground test facilities for clearing a particular LRU or a set of LRUs worthy of flight. Essentially any Integration Rig would consist of both hardware and software systems, the primary intention being to create an aircraft like scenario on the ground.

The software systems would essentially consist of a Simulation Tool to mimic those systems that are not physically available. The simulation is both static and dynamic with user inputs from the front end or a model running in the background.

All the different kinds of communication that happen between the various LRUs, both present and simulated are captured by a powerful Acquisition System in accordance to the selected options of the user. While the data is being captured it is available in real time to the avionics engineer in various formats and also logged for the purpose of any post flight analysis.

The Analysis Package is also an essential part of an Integration rig that gives the capability of analyzing all the logged as per the user requirements in various ways. The user has the capability of building analysis blocks from fundamental operators.

The Configuration Manager contains all relevant information on the different kinds of communication between the systems on the Rig based on parameters, words, bytes or bits. This system is central to all the above systems.

All the above software systems are housed on various kinds of hardware and interact with each of them thereby giving a complete solution to all integration problems.

The hardware includes Industrial PCs, Add-on cards like A/D, DAC and 1553B interfaces, racks, patch panels, signal conditioners, power distribution panels, cables, connectors, etc., etc.
